New senior housing coming to Warren

A groundbreaking was held in Warren, Ohio for a new senior housing facility.

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Trumbull Metropolitan Housing Authority broke ground Friday on a $10.6 million senior apartment complex.

Parkman Landing will provide affordable housing for seniors 55 years and older. The facility will include 60 units along with on-site laundry, a lounge and patio.

The new complex will replace outdated senior housing in the Warren area.

“To be able to build as we have here in a cost-effective way as this is just something that is going to be helpful – not only for our residents, but it will be great for our community,” said Donald Emerson, Trumbull Metropolitan Housing Authority.

The new facility will be located on Parkman Road in Warren.

Emerson said they would like to have residents moved in by December 2016.
