EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio (WKBN) – The New Castle School of Trades broke ground Friday on a new facility in East Liverpool.
City leaders have anticipated the project for several years that will utilize buildings in the downtown area.
Commissioners recently approved at $100,000 grant towards the project.
“They felt that what they needed in this particular area was skilled training. They reached out to the New Castle School of Trades and it took us four years to make this project come together, but we are here today and ready to begin renovation,” said Rex Spaulding, president of New Castle School of Trades.
Renovations should be complete by next summer.
