POLAND, OH (WKBN)-Valley Christian got their first win of the 2015 season Saturday night, earning a come from behind win over Trinity 21-20.
The Eagles were able to force an early Trojans turnover that gave Valley Christian great field position.
Valley worked it all the way down to the one, but a fumble left VCS empty on their first drive.
That is when Trinity made their move. Kevin McSweeney capped off a long drive plunging into the end zone from about 2-yards out for the games first score.
The Trojans forced another turnover on the Eagles next possession which was capped off by quarterback Kyle McSweeney who scored from one-yard out to make it 14-0.
The Eagles would tie the game in the second quarter to send the game to the half tied at 14.
Trinity would regain the lead in the 3rd quarter before allowed Valley Christian to score the game-winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
The Eagles finish the year 1-9. No stats were reported for this game.
