Gasoline prices up a few cents

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Gasoline prices were a bit higher in the Mahoning Valley Monday morning.

The AAA daily survey for the Youngstown-Warren metro area had the average price for regular at $2.14, up 4-cents from Sunday. The Gas Buddy website had predicted a jump in prices, but other cities in Ohio saw bigger increases.

Several gas stations in Salem still had gas at $1.98 this morning. The same goes for a few stations in the cities of Warren and Youngstown.

This time last year, the average price for gas was 80-cents higher.
