Hubbard teen injured in crash presents Akron Children’s with check

Colin Burdette was at Akron Children's Hospital on Monday to present the hospital with a check for more than $8,000 on Monday.


AKRON, Ohio (WKBN) – A Hubbard teen severely injured in an ATV accident last year is giving back to the people who helped him on the road to recovery.

Colin Burdette was at Akron Children’s Hospital on Monday to present the hospital with a check for more than $8,000. The money was raised as part of The Haulin’ with Colin Relay team for the Akron Marathon.

Colin took part in this years race, and he helped raise funds for the hospital with his relay team.

Doctors at Akron Children’s Hospital in Akron had to put plates in Colin’s face to fix it and wired his jaw shut after his accident.
