Leetonia car crash causes power outage

LEETONIA, Ohio (WKBN) – A car crash in Leetonia has caused a power outage Monday, according to a Leetonia Police Sergeant.

The sergeant told WKBN that the outage is a result of a crash reported at 11:41 a.m. Monday in which a car went through a telephone pole on Columbia Street, also known as State Rt. 344.

Ohio Edison showed up and requested that the road be shut down so they could work.

Ohio Edison Spokesman Chris Eck said that the crash cut off power to 301 customers for 26 minutes.
