Mays resigns as Youngstown East Football Coach

P.J. Mays has resigned his position as head football coach at Youngstown East high school.

Mays has spent the past 3 seasons with the Panthers program, and leaves with a (5-25) overall record.

Mays tells WKBN Sports Team 27… “The 5-25 record over the last 3 years is unacceptable, and it’s time for a change.”

Youngstown East is a member of the All-American Conference Red Division and finished the 2015 season with a record of (2-8).

P.J. Mays is a Youngstown native, and Hall of Fame player at Youngstown State University.
