Colorado police investigate school-wide nude photo share game

CANON CITY, Colorado (CNN) – Hundreds of high school students could face serious charges after inappropriate photos were circulated around the school.

A police investigation is underway at Canon High School near Colorado Springs.

The superintendent says a large number of the 1,000 students at the school have been taking and sending nude photos of themselves.

Now it appears a smaller number of students have actually been collecting those images as a game – both of which are felonies.

“For our students, this could cause them not to get into the college they want to. This could cause them to not to get the scholarship they are going for,” said Superintendent George Welsh.

Welsh said a significant portion of the football team is being investigated for being involved.

Friday night’s football game was canceled while police investigate.
