One person flown to hospital following crash in Unity Twp.


UNITY TWP., Ohio (WKBN) – A traffic crash late Thursday afternoon in Columbiana County has sent one person to the hospital.

The crash occurred on State Route 14 and Macklin Road, about three miles east of State Route 7.

The driver of a Pontiac Grand Am pulled onto Route 14 and was hit by an oncoming pick-up truck. A medical helicopter was called to the scene to transport the driver of the car to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

The extent of the driver’s injuries are not known at this time.
