Lakeview’s strong rushing attack dashes by Grove City

STONEBORO, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – The Sailors closed out the 2015 season with a 6-4 mark after defeating Grove City, 31-6. Lakeview won four of their final five home games.

In the first half, Lakeview outgained Grove City in total yards by a 232 to 31 margin. Austin Rice and Jake Doddo combined for 188 rushing yards in the opening twenty-four minutes.

For the Sailors, Rice gained 130 yards on the ground on 30 carries (TD). Doddo averaged 10.2 yards per rushing attempt as he scored 3 times. For the game, Lakeview outgained Grove City by almost 200 yards of total offense.

Grove City has not had a winning season since 2012 (9-2). The Eagles finish the campaign with a 1-9 record and have now lost their last ten road games.
