North East powers past Reynolds

NORTH EAST, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – The Raiders failed to extend their win streak to three-games as they were defeated at North East tonight, 49-21. Reynolds finishes the campaign with a 3-7 mark.

Reynolds started the game with a score but the Grapepickers answered by outscoring the Raiders 49-14 over the course of the final 44 minutes.

The win for North East marked their fifth at home this year (5-0). The Grapepickers (7-3) extended the win streak to four games. Garrett Owens ran for 353 yards on the ground and scored 4 times. He’s less than 100 yards from setting the District 10 single season mark.

Next week, North East will play Hickory in the Quarterfinals of the District 10 Class AA playoffs.
