West Middlesex notches their 7th win

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – West Middlesex rebounded from last week’s loss to Reynolds to get by Fort LeBoeuf, 13-10. The Big Reds finished off their perfect home schedule with their sixth win in six tries. Coach Ed Roberson’s team has won four of their last five contests.

In a defensive battle, the Big Reds outgained Fort LeBouef 172 to 154. Jason Ash gained 81 yards running the football for West Middlesex and he caught 3 passes for 21 yards and a score. Josh Porterfield brought down the Bison quarterback twice.

Fort LeBoeuf (7-3) had won four straight before falling this evening to Middlesex. Tonight, their quarterback Kenny Youngberg was 7 of 12 passing for 132 yards including his 50-yard touchdown strike to Garrett Dahn.

Next week, the Bison will meet Greenville in a Class AA playoff clash and West Middlesex will prepare for Iroquois (in Class A). The Braves will face Mercyhurst Prep tomorrow.
