Youngstown man sentenced to prison for sex crime

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Youngstown man was sentenced to 10 years in a federal prison for transporting a child across state lines with the intent of engaging in sexual activity, according to court records.

Stephen Fleischer, 29, of Youngstown, pleaded guilty to the charge in federal court. He was indicted in January for attempting to persuade a 14-year-old girl to engage in sexually explicit conduct and sent sexually explicit pictures over the Internet.

The case was investigated by the Youngstown FBI office and the Austintown Police Department.

Court records say Fleischer will be required to register as a sex offender upon his release.
