YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A $2 million bond was set Monday for a suspect accused of killing a woman in Youngstown.
Lance Hundley, 46, of Warren, appeared in Youngstown Municipal Court in connection to the Nov. 6 death of 41-year-old Erika Huff. Hundley was charged with two counts of murder.
Hundley did not enter a plea Monday, and the court will appoint an attorney for him. The judge ordered a $1 million bond on each murder count.
Police charged Hundley in Huff’s death after they responded to a house on Cleveland Street for a house fire and discovered Huff beaten inside the house. Huff’s mother was also attacked by Hundley, but survived the attack, according to police.
Lieutenant Doug Bobovnyik said Hundley went to the house and beat Huff, leaving her unconscious. The victim’s mother came later after her daughter’s medic alert alarm went off and encountered Hundley and was assaulted. Bobovnyik said that is when Hundley set fire to the house and tried to leave as police were arriving.
