2015-16 Wellsville Tigers’ Girls’ Basketball Preview

Season in Review
Wellsville opened the season with four straight setbacks and found themselves with a 2-7 mark after their ninth contest. However, the Lady Tigers hit their stride in the second half of the season by running off eight wins in their final thirteen games of the regular season.

Ashley Bennett failed to score in double figures just twice during her junior campaign. Ashley closed out the season with eleven double-doubles. Over the last eight games, Destiny Crow posted a scoring average of 14.4 while pulling down 8.3 boards and shooting 48.5% from the floor.

Key Returnees
Seniors Ashley Bennett (14.8 ppg, 10.2 rpg) and Destiny Crow (11.7 ppg, 7.7 rpg) lead the Lady Tigers into the upcoming season with high hopes. Their classmate Autumn Harris will be back after playing in all 23 games last winter and registering a 2.8 scoring average. Junior Sara Dalrymple also returns following her sophomore campaign which saw #24 average 5.3 points and 5.6 rebounds.
