South Range soccer headed to State Finals

Sandusky, OH (WKBN) – The South Range boys soccer team made history Wednesday, advancing to their first ever State Championship game with a 1-0 win over Archbold.

The Raiders were playing in their second consecutive State Semifinal, after falling to Mansfield Christian, 4-0 last year. But tonight, they used a balanced attack with defense and a late goal by senior Cole Frank to get by the Blue Streaks and secure their spot in the Division III State Championship game.

South Range improves to 18-3 on the season, and will play Cincinnati Summit Country Day Saturday at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus at 7 PM. The Silver Knights have won two of the last three state championships.
