YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Ursuline’s Megan Ross and Drew Potesta officially inked their National Letters of Intent Wednesday.
Ross signed with Slippery Rock Softball, while Potesta is heading to play for the Lake Erie College Baseball program.
Ross has been an All-NEO selection her Sophomore & Junior years, playing both outfield & infield. She was instrumental in the 2013 District Championship as a freshman, when she had the game winning hits in both the semifinals game and the 3-2 nine inning win over South Range. During her sophomore season, Ross led the Irish in batting average with a .486 clip.
Last season, she was amongst the leaders in all offensive categories, as well as a leader in both runs scored and stolen bases. Ross is also a 4 year member of the UHS Varsity basketball team.
Potesta is a standout catcher for the Irish, and has been a key player in their multiple District Championships, as well as the the team’s success at Regionals.
