Hearing on Mahoning Valley horse race dispute delayed

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A hearing on how the wrong horse got into the starting gate at the Mahoning Valley Race Course in Austintown last week has been delayed.

Mark Monroe, a member of the Ohio Racing Commission, said the investigation and interviews are not yet complete, so the hearing on the matter which was supposed to take place this week has been moved back to next week.

Ruby Queen was the horse that was supposed to run in the all-Philly race, but a male horse named Leathers Slapping ran instead and won the race.
