Missing man known as “Pepsi John” still not located

Family believes that Wintersville resident John Mathes may be in the Youngstown area, after being reported missing four days ago.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – One week after the family of a missing Wintersville man asked for help locating him, the man know as “Pepsi John” is still missing.

Another search is planned for Saturday in Jefferson County.

Family members contacted WKBN last week when they thought 91-year-old John Mathes may have driven to the Youngstown area. Mathes has ties and family in the area, and they believed that he may have been driving on an old route from his days as a Pepsi delivery driver.

Mathes has been missing for nearly two weeks now.
