Youngstown PD investigating homicide on Myrtle Ave

One man is killed after being shot in the head on Youngstown's south side.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown police are looking for the person who shot and killed a man on the city’s south side.

The shooting happened early Saturday morning, just after midnight.

Thomas Owens, 33, was found dead in a vehicle that was parked in the front yard of a house on West Myrtle Avenue.

Investigators say it appears he was shot in the head.

Detectives haven’t named any suspects, but are calling it a homicide.
