Bill Clinton to help mark Dayton Peace Accords anniversary

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) – Former President Bill Clinton is among scheduled speakers at events in southwest Ohio over the next week to mark the 20th anniversary of an international peace agreement that was worked out during his first term.

The Dayton Peace Accords reached at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base on Nov. 21, 1995, ended more than three years of war in Bosnia.

Dayton will honor the diplomat who brokered the deal by dedicating Richard C. Holbrooke plaza this coming Wednesday. Clinton is scheduled as a keynote speaker the following day at the University of Dayton.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina foreign affairs minister and other diplomats and officials are among those set to participate in events running through next Saturday. Wright State and Miami universities are hosting related events.
