Motorcyclist killed in crash on Rt. 193 in Liberty

LIBERTY TWP, Ohio (WKBN) – A motorcycle driver was killed Sunday afternoon after hitting a pick up truck on State Route 193, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

At approximately 2 p.m.,  Jeremy White, 25, of Vienna was traveling northbound on a Yamaha motorcycle on 193 near Tibbetts Wick Road in Liberty Township.

OSP says Jodi Gallagher, 32, of Girard pulled out of a private drive onto 193 and attempted to turn south.

White struck Gallagher’s truck and was ejected from the motorcycle.

He was transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Southbound lanes were closed for about two hours.

White was not wearing a helmet when the crash occurred. Gallagher was uninjured.

Charges are pending as the crash remains under investigation. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

This is the 16th fatal accident in Trumbull County this year.

At last check, Mahoning has 21 fatalities and Columbiana has six for the year so far.
