State Rep. Boccieri responds to Paris attacks

State Representative John Boccieri responds to recent terrorist attacks in Paris.

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – “Concerning” is the word State Representative John Boccieri used to describe his response to the terrorist attacks in Paris.

He says being in the military and being involved in our nation’s and state’s leadership, he has seen how the group ISIS has grown to create havoc outside of the borders in the Middle East.

Boccieri says terrorism is familiar to many parts of the world.

“We have to recognize that this is not going to go away overnight and it’s going to take an effort to meet force with force.”

Boccieri says he wouldn’t be surprised if men and women are called to go overseas and protect our nation or lend a hand to help defend our ally, France.

Having those people ready to answer our nation’s call is important.

“We know that we’ve got to do every measure that we can to make sure our nation is safe. And I’m encouraged by the move President Obama has taken to step up security in the country,” he said.
