Season in Review
The Falcons began the 2014-15 season with a record of 19-0 as they claimed their first All-American Conference Division title. Jefferson dropped their first game of the season to Lake Catholic (74-60) on February 10. In the Ashtabula District Semifinal, the Falcons were defeated again by the Cougars – 62-43 – to see their season come to a close at 22-2. Sam Hitchcock led the team with a 17.3 scoring average as he posted double-digit figures in each game. Jacob Adams had three 20-point performances and Sam Caskey scored in double figures 11 of his 19 games played. James Jackson opened the season with a double-double (17 points, 13 rebounds) in their 67-64 win over Niles on December 5.

Key Returnees
Sam Hitchcock just wasn’t the team’s leading scorer (17.3), he also led the group in rebounding with a 7.5 average per contest. Jacob Adams (12.3 ppg) was only a fraction behind Hitchcock with his 7.2 caroms per outing. Brevin White scored 25 in a matchup with Lakeside on January 31 last year. He finished the season with a 7.8 scoring average and 2.3 boards. Blake Payne also will be asked to play a bigger role this season after posting 2.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game in 2014-15.

AAC White Division Outlook
Edgewood In year one in the All-American Conference, the Warriors were only able to win a single game in league play (1-9). However, Edgewood did win 7 in the non-conference slate (8-16).

Hubbard First-year coach Justin Townsend takes over an Eagle program which has lost 18 or more games in each of the last three seasons.

Jefferson Good news for Falcon opponents, the 2014-15 season is over (Jefferson went 10-0 in league play and 21-1 overall during the regular season). Bad news for Falcon opponents, Sam Hitchcock (17.3 ppg) is back.

Lakeview After winning just 8 games in their previous two seasons (8-38), Lakeview surprised many by winning 11 last year (11-13) and posting an even 5-5 mark in the White Division.

Niles The Red Dragons are coming off of their first winning season in the All-American Conference (6-4). The last time Niles had a winning record in their league was in 2005-06 (6-4) when they were a member of the Metro Athletic Conference.

Struthers Since winning three straight league titles (2010-13), the Wildcats have posted a combined 15-17 mark in AAC play over the last three seasons.

…The Falcons won their first sectional championship since 2004 last year. Jefferson went six years (2007-12) without winning a single playoff game. Now, they’ve won one in each of the past three seasons (2013-15).
