Case against man accused of shooting death to begin

Anthony Hopkins is accused of the murder of James Brown in September 2014.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Defense lawyers could begin presenting their case on Wednesday in a Mahoning County murder trial.

Anthony Hopkins is charged in the shooting death of James Brown back in September of 2013. On Tuesday, defense lawyers told jurors they will offer their own expert witnesses to prove someone else shot the victim.

Two others accused in the case have already been convicted for their roles in the crime.

Hopkins faces life in prison if he is convicted.
