Suspect arrested in connection to Salem stabbing

John Lyle was arrested in connection to a stabbing in Salem, Ohio.

SALEM, Ohio (WKBN) – Police in Salem arrested a man in connection to a stabbing that left another man with multiple wounds.

Police were called about 3:30 a.m. Saturday to a home on Vine Avenue on reports of a fight in the street. When officers arrived, they found a man with several stab wounds. The 37-year-old victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown for treatment.

Officers issued an arrest warrant for John R. Lyle II, 40, of 438 Vine Ave. and asked for the public’s help in locating him.

Lyle was arrested Monday and charged with felonious assault. He is being held in the Columbiana County Jail.
