OVI checkpoint set for Howland Thursday

HOWLAND, Ohio (WKBN) – The Trumbull County OVI Task Force will be having a checkpoint Thursday night in Howland Township, according to a Warren Police officer.

Warren Police Officer Ben Harrell stated that the checkpoint would take place Thursday but did not give a more specific location.

During the checkpoint, police pull over and inspect cars that pass through a certain location, usually to look for drunk driving violators. Harrell did not immediately respond to a request asking to specify where and when the checkpoint would be held Thursday night.
