ERIE, Pa. (WKBN) – The east bound lane of Interstate 90 just east of Erie opened around 7:30 p.m., five and a half hours after fatal accident involving two semi trucks.
A three-mile stretch of the road was shut down around 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon when a semi truck slowed down for road work and a trucker behind him failed to stop in time. That trucker was killed in the crash.
The driver killed in the crash was not identified on Thursday.
Some non-hazardous material in the barrels spilled into the median and highway as a result of the crash.
