Arms Family Museum’s Christmas exhibit to open Saturday

Arms Family Museum Memories of Christmas Past begins Friday - January 3.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Christmas exhibit at the Arms Family Museum in Youngstown opens Saturday.

Memories of Christmas Past features seven rooms with vintage décor — using items from the family collection. Each room represents a decade — showing how Mrs. Arms may have decorated during the years she lived in the historical mansion.

“We’ve brought out a lot of Mrs. Arms’ items this year… In celebration of the Historical Society’s 140th anniversary, that’s why we’re kind of featuring the arms museum this year,” said External Relations Manager Leann Rich.

On Saturday, there will be half-price entry into the museum. Next weekend is buy-one-get-one entry with the donation of canned goods.

The exhibit is open Tuesday through Sunday, until January 3. The museum is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and from 1 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays

Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for those ages 60 and older, and $5 for children ages 3 to 18. Children under 3 are free.
