YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – As this weekend’s cold weather approaches, having the proper clothing outside is important.

On Friday, a group of seniors from Austintown Fitch High School decided to give scarves and gloves to the community.

They hung hats, scarves and gloves from trees at Federal Plaza downtown. It was all part of a student’s senior service project.

“As temperatures get colder, we’re just trying to help those who can’t keep warm,” student Jordan Crum said.

Anyone in need of the clothing items can just stop and grab what they need.
