Columbiana, Ohio is planning a tree lighting Friday night.

COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) – One local community is getting into the Christmas spirit early this year. Christmas in Columbiana begins Friday night at 6 p.m.

The evening begins with carols at the Main Street Theater and tree lighting. A parade will follow at 6:30 p.m.

April Brinker, executive director of the Columbiana Chamber of Commerce, said the square is exploding with Christmas spirit. She said hot chocolate will also be served for the event.

“The atmosphere in the square is just joyous,” Brinker said.
