Ruling to come Monday on minor status of Niles murder suspect

acob Larosa expected back in juvenile court in Niles, Ohio

NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – We will learn Monday if Niles teenager Jacob Larosa will stand trial as an adult on charges of murdering an elderly woman.

Police said Larosa beat his 94-year-old neighbor Marie Belcastro to death in March inside her home on Cherry Street in Niles.

Larosa was 15 at the time, and Trumbull County prosecutors want to try him as an adult.

The judge, Sandra Harwood, will make the ruling, and has ordered that none of the legal representatives for the case discuss it publicly.
