Salvation Army in Warren serves holiday dinner

The Salvation Army in Warren held a holiday dinner for the community.

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Thanksgiving came a few days early for many in Warren. About 400 people came to the Salvation Army gym for an annual holiday dinner.

It was organized by the Salvation Army women’s auxiliary. Volunteers from the Key Club at Niles McKinley High School also dropped by to help out.

The dinner provided a good opportunity for those all over Trumbull County to gather around the table.

“It’s been a blessing because you see so many people together doing good instead of seeing people not doing good,” said Barbara Strother of Warren. “This is nice that everyone is coming together to love one another.”

The Salvation Army says it’ll be helping more than 1,500 kids in the Valley this holiday season with toys and food baskets.
