Author speaks at Liberty Arab American Community Center

Author Alison Weir spoke on her latest book at the Arab American Community Center in Liberty.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The California based author of a book on the relationship between Israel and the United States spoke to members of Youngstown’s Arab community on Tuesday about what she called a relationship detrimental to the U.S. and the Middle East.

Author Alison Weir was joined by a crowd of 40 people at Liberty’s Arab American Community Center. Before her speech, Weir said ISIS may have not come to power if the Israeli-Palestinian issue had been settled.

“If we had settled that issue, if we had appropriate policies long ago, this wouldn’t be happening today,” she said of the recent terrorist attacks around the world.

Weir’s book is titled “Against Our Better Judgement,” and details the “hidden history of how the U.S. was used to create Israel.”
