Suspect arrested in four-county theft ring

ALLIANCE, Ohio (WKBN) – An Alliance man is facing a Stark County grand jury in connection to thefts spanning several counties, including Mahoning and Columbiana.

Richard Hollealliance-theftnbaugh, of Alliance, is charged with theft, vandalism, grand theft, possessing criminal tools and receiving stolen property.

The charges stem from dozens of thefts in Portage, Stark, Mahoning and Columbiana counties.

The arrest comes after a two-month long search for Hollenbaugh where police checked pawn shops, online auctions, and processed vehicles looking for evidence.

Police seized dozens of electronics, including GPS systems, stereos, tools, and other stolen items.

Officers said they will continue to tag evidence and make efforts to contact theft victims to return their property.
