YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Two men were indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury for their part in a shooting at a Youngstown bar on November 16.

Daniel Harris was indicted on aggravated murder, attempted murder, felonious assault with firearm specifications and having weapons while under disability charges.

Police said Harris shot and killed 34-year-old Tony Brown during the shooting at the Southern Tavern. They believed Harris suspected Brown of shooting and killing his relative, Thomas Owens, and so he opened fire on him. Police said Brown did not kill Owens, however, rather that he was in the car with Owens and another man when Owens died.

Harris was also shot during the shooting, and he was hospitalized for his injuries.

Another man, Gregory Stanford — also known as Kevin Stanford — was indicted on obstructing official business charges, according to Assistant County Prosecutor Dawn Cantalamessa. She said the charges were related to the shooting.
