STRUTHERS, Ohio (WKBN) – An argument in Struthers turned into a near-fatal shooting Thanksgiving day in Struthers.
Police charged Justine Paris with two counts of felonious assault, saying she began arguing with another woman at a house in the 2500 block of Midlothian Blvd. around 2 p.m. Police said Paris pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots, hitting the woman with whom she was arguing in the arm.
A neighbor, who said he witnessed the shooting but did not want to be identified, had this to say:
“I saw the weapon. I saw the lady came in out the back, start cocking the gun, and at that moment I pretty much knew what was going to happen,” he said.
Police also said that bullets flew into a home across the street. The owner of that home showed WKBN bullet holes in their walls and said that the bullets narrowly missed two of their family members.
Kimberly Bable and her grandson said they were just inches from death.
“We were getting ready for Thanksgiving, and my grandson was sitting out here in the living room by the wall, and I was sitting on the other side playing on my tablet, and I heard like a big bang, the first time, and then I went out here and looked, and then three more bangs after that,” Bable said. “And I see a hole out here and a hole in my living room and right straight through to the other living room wall.”
