Pittsburgh shooting victim found bleeding, dies at hospital

PITTSBURGH (AP) – Pittsburgh police say a woman found shot and bleeding outside a closed pizzeria has died.

The Allegheny County medical examiner says the victim is 28-year-old Margaret Recasens.

Police say officers and paramedics were called to the scene about 2:15 a.m. Saturday for a report of a woman lying on the sidewalk and bleeding.

Officers determined she had been shot. She was found near Anthony’s Pizza in Carrick, a neighborhood known for drug activity.

She was taken to UPMC Mercy hospital and pronounced dead.

An autopsy was scheduled later Saturday.

Police have not said whether they have any suspects in the shooting.
