Fire crews: Wood burner cause of trailer fire in Mercer

MERCER, Pa. (WKBN) – The Red Cross is being called in to help a family whose trailer home caught on fire Sunday night in Mercer County.

It happened around 7:00 on Johnston Road in Cool Spring Township.

Chief Bill Findley said there was a lot of fire when crews first arrived on the scene.

Fire crews tell First News the wood burner in the back of the trailer caught on fire.

The people who live there were inside when the fire started, but no one was injured. The trailer, however, suffered damage.
