Season in Review
After rolling through the first three rounds of the state tournament by an average margin of victory of 23 points, the Golden Eagles met Farrell in the Western Final at the Beeghly Center. The Steelers prevailed in overtime, 57-53, after a wild finish.

Despite winning the district crown over Farrell (48-46), the Eagles finished with a 23-2 record last winter against teams who weren’t the Steelers.

Key Returnees
Future West Virginia Mountaineer Sag Konate headlines a strong Kennedy Catholic team which should be poised for a deep run once again. Konate averaged a double-double last season (16.3 ppg, 10.5 rpg) while rejecting 3 shots a game (2.9). Drew Magestro put together a strong stat line as a sophomore with 13.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists. Mohamed Konate played in each game last season and was able to average 9.8 points and 3.6 rebounds.

Jason Austin comes to Kennedy from Sharon where he scored 20.3 points while sinking 39.4% of his three point attempts (41-104) and hauling down 7.3 caroms. Austin also connected on 81.1% of his free throws (73-90) and made 55% of his shots from the field (166-302).
