YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Jury selection got underway Monday in the murder trial of Kalontae Carter.
Carter, 19, is accused in the April 2013 shooting death of 26-year-old Kristopher Stuart during what prosecutors say was a robbery.
The case was originally set for trial in May but had to be continued.
If Convicted, Carter faces life in prison.
Stuart was found fatally shot inside his home in the 2100 block of Elm Street.
Carter was also wounded in the exchange of gunfire and sufered a gunshot wound to his arm. He was 17 at the time of the shooting.
