Ravenna home invasion ends with suspects being shot

RAVENNA, Ohio (WKBN) – Two home invasion suspects were shot after they and two others stormed a house in Ravenna.

According to police, James Dokes, 18,and Edward Ramsdell, 21, along with two other unidentified suspects, forced their way into a home in the 400 block of Jefferson Street early Sunday morning.

D’Lilah Dorsey, Derrick Stone and Jamael Jones, all of Ravenna, were inside the house at the time of the invasion. Dorsey and Stone were able to escape while Jones got into an altercation with one of the suspects.

During the fight, a gun went off several times, striking Dokes and Ramsdell. Jones also suffered lacerations to his face.

Dokes and Ramsdell are being treated at a local hospital for gunshots wounds.
