LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) – Nathan Kline connected on four 3-point shots as Beaver Local opens the season with a 65-62 win over Harrison Central. The Beavers trailed at the end of the third quarter, 48-41. Kline closed out the contest with a team-high 21 points and 6 steals.
The Beavers’ Chase Wilcox made 7 free throws to post 17 points. Drew Theiss scored 9 and had 8 rebounds. Beaver Local connected on 7 of 17 three-point shots (41.2%).
The Huskies were led by Tyler Redish’s 22 points (8 rebounds) and Jacob Barr’s 20. Harrison Central shot 60.5% from the floor (26-43).
Harrison Central next plays host to Edison next Tuesday. The Beavers will be back at home on Friday when they welcome Indian Creek.
