YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The three men accused of firing into a car on a south side Youngstown street are all jailed without bond for the time being after appearing in court Tuesday morning.
Leonard Savage turned himself in to police on Monday. He’s charged in the shooting death of Thomas Owens last month on West Myrtle Avenue. Police had already arrested Jawonn Hymes and Jason Heard on the same charges.
Savage faces an aggravated murder count.
A grand jury indicted all three last week in the murder of Owens.
Police say the suspects pulled up alongside a car carrying Owens and two others on West Myrtle Avenue and started shooting. Owens was the only one hit.
The three are also facing attempted murder charges.
