Lucinda Woods heard a jingle that first won her $1,000 on Big 106. That entered her into a drawing for the $50,000 iHeartMedia Christmas Cash contest that she later won.

Woods said the money is important to her and her family.

“It comes at a great time, not just for Christmas, but for my family, period,” she said. “It’s definitely a time of need.”

Those at the Big 106 radio station said Woods is the second person from the Valley to win a big prize from a national contest on their station. The first winner from the area received a prize a few years ago.
