COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKBN) –The Ohio State Highway Patrol will join forces with other members of the 6-State Trooper Project to focus on OVI enforcement.
The high-visibility enforcement effort will be from 12:01 a.m. Friday to 11:59 p.m. Sunday and will also include officers from the Pennsylvania State Police. A news release from State Highway Patrol did not list specific locations.
So far in 2015, the Ohio State Highway Patrol has made 22,392 arrests for operating a vehicle under the influence.
The 6-State Trooper Project is a multi-state law enforcement partnership aimed at providing combined and coordinated law enforcement and security services in the areas of highway safety, criminal patrol and intelligence sharing.
