YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown police are investigating a homicide that happened Thursday morning on the city’s south side.
Police say the victim is a male in his 40s, but confirmed neither how he died nor his identity. Youngstown Police investigators came to a house on High Street Thursday morning after getting a call about the man’s death around 8:30 a.m.
Police did not believe that the man’s death is connected with any of the city’s other recent homicides.
“It looks like there’s a pattern or something. We’ll get a lull and then we’ll get a spike. None of these, we had a couple on Glenwood that were related, but none of these are related, that we can tell,” said Youngstown Police Capt. Brad Blackburn.
Police said they are making sure that all of the man’s relatives are notified before releasing his identification.
This is the 22nd homicide in Youngstown this year and the sixth violent death in the last month.
