Dogs in Mineral Ridge take pictures with Santa

Sit Means Sit holds a fundraiser for local animal rescues.

MINERAL RIDGE, Ohio (WKBN) – With Christmas less than three weeks away, dogs in Mineral Ridge were able to get a picture with Santa.

Sit Means Sit Mahoning Valley invited pet owners to participate in its “Presents for Paws” event.

There was a Chinese auction with more than a hundred gift baskets donated by local shops, organizations and individuals.

“All of the money stays local,” Event Chairperson April Prest said. “It helps the dogs and cats find homes and it avoids them from being put down.”

The proceeds from Saturday’s event will go to five local animal rescues.
