Poland overpowers Howland, now 3-0

Poland, OH (WKBN) – The Poland boys basketball defeated Howland, 62-48 Tuesday in All American Conference action at Poland High School.

The Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead, with several transition opportunities in the first half and led 26-15 at the break. The Tigers kept it close in the second half, but couldn’t overcome a strong defensive performance from Poland.

Senior Mike Gajdos led all scorers with 16 points, while Matt Baker added 15. Howland was led by senior Luciano Romeo with 15 points.

Poland improves to 3-0 on the season and host West Middlesex Saturday at 6 PM in the United Way Holiday Classic.
