Two killed in Route 422 Butler County crash

BUTLER, Pa. (AP) – Pennsylvania State Police say a three-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer in Butler County has left two people dead.

It happened just after noon Monday On Route 422 in Franklin Township. State police say a Jeep sport utility vehicle crossed the center line of the road, hit the side of a tractor-trailer and collided head-on with a Subaru Outback.

Police say the drivers of the Jeep and the Outback died at the scene; they didn’t immediately identify the victims.

It’s unclear if the driver of the tractor-trailer was injured.

State police are investigating the crash.
